You Won’t Be Seeing This Ultra-Luxurious, Spacious Yacht from Ritz-Carlton Until June 2020, But Here’s What to Expect

Ritz-Carlton may be known for offering deluxe hotel services but they will soon add luxury seafaring to its portfolio next year when their first vessel will be unveiled.

Two years ago, the five-star accommodation company announced that it will be launching three cruise ships as part of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, which was said to deviate from the traditional boats in the market today.

Expansion

Herve Humler, the brand’s chief executive, said that the decision to diversify to the cruise industry is brought about by the expansion average of the sector at 8.5-percent per year for decades.

It is worth noting that there have been ships added to the market, but only a few ultra-luxurious vessels were made. Plus, the officer said that as per data, about 400,000 of their clients are cruisers.

Herve Humler said the ships will not be like the typical ones

Other competitions on this spectrum are Regent Seven Seas, Crystal Cruises, Silversea, and Seaborn, which had long offered what Ritz-Carlton will offer.

That said, how will the collection stand out from the rest? Herve explained that they were creating an anti-cruise ship, which will emphasize space, flexibility, and privacy. So when do we get to see these uber-luxurious vessels?

Delay

It was initially promised to set sail early next year, but according to reports, the target inaugural date was bumped four months more. The company also announced that the first ship of the collection will see light on June 14, 2020. As per Ritz-Carlton’s statement, there are additional problems with the shipyard management.

The vessel has 10 decks

In August, there were rumors that the operator of luxury chain hotels all over the world just got word that the yachts would not be finished on time. Apart from the delay, the company is allegedly well over its budget, about $55 million in excess, although take it with a grain of salt because Ritz-Carlton had not confirmed this.

Features

The price for a trip can range between $3,100 (four-night stay) to $10,100 (12-night stay) and will vary on the itinerary. The price is understandable for the amenities the ships are equipped with – there are 10 decks and 149 suites to accommodate up to 298 passengers. The third deck has The Marina and will give you access to the ocean.

While the ship’s facade is to behold, the interior is as magnifique as well. You will still see the vast ocean because of the glass walls or you can chill around the fourth deck where the classy living room is located.

On the sixth deck, guests can choose between two posh restos that offer world-class menu – the Aqua, which is similar to the one in Wolfsburg Ritz-Carlton, and the Asian Fusion that gives customers fresh Asian cuisine.

There will also be an Aqua restaurant on the ship

Guests aboard the luxury ship don’t have to worry about their wellness because on the ninth deck, there’s a gym that provides yoga, personal training, and a customized program for individuals.

Those who want to relax will enjoy the steam room, sauna, and lounge. Spa isn’t also amiss—you have two options: al fresco or a private room.
