Sources reveal John Lennon’s tooth made thousands of dollars as it got sold in an auction last week! Let us uncover the truth behind this bizarre purchase.
The Auction
According to sources, the Omega Auction House reportedly sold The Beatles John Lennon’s tooth in England last Saturday. The auction’s owner claimed the tooth heirloom belonged to Dot Jarlett. Jarlett had been the renowned singer’s former housekeeper when Lennon gave it to her and asked her to dispose of it between 1964-1968.
But instead of disposing of it, Jarlett asked for Lennon’s permission to keep the said tooth since she wanted to give it to her daughter. She claimed her daughter had been a huge fan of The Beatles band. Jarlett kept the tooth for years before she decided to sell it for unknown reasons.
Authentic Or Not?
While the auction owner declined to reveal the winning bidder’s identity, one Canadian Dentist stepped up and claimed he ended up owning Lennon’s tooth. The said Dentist didn’t hesitate to double the bidding’s price to $31,200 when it’s expected to only sell at around $16,000. Part of the reason why the said Dentist bought the artifact was to prove its authenticity through DNA Testing.

The Tracksuit
While John Lennon was known for his trademark sunglasses (which is also up for grabs), any piece of fabric he owned are also considered legendary. It’s a good thing that TMZ announced the late singer’s blue tracksuit is now available for an auction!
The Moments in Time listed the said item on their site with a starting $35,000 price. Lennon used the said tracksuit as his signature outfit in attending important occasions. There was one time he traveled with his wife, Yoko Ono to Denmark in 1970 together with their daughter Kyoko while wearing the outfit.
The Butcher Cover
In the past, John Lennon’s personalized The Beatles LP copy once received the ire of its millions of fans due to the cover image’s explicit nature. However, the said vinyl recording still made a staggering $233,511 as it got sold last month. The sources reveal an American collector won the bid.
Despite the whopping amount he paid to buy the item, he admitted he sees it as an investment. The unnamed collector believes the item’s value of the late singer will double all over the years. And he intends to sell it soon.

Just this week, an auction organizer announced they plan to sell John Lennon’s rare Hitler Type glasses for the first time. Along with the iconic Beatles’ auction items also include their second album poster for 12,000 British Pounds.
