Surprising Reason Why Drake Handed Out Absurd Amount of Cash on Streets of Miami

The renowned Canadian rapper Drake recently released his latest music video entitled “God’s Plan.” The song not only broke records and landed on the chart’s top spot, but it’s also making waves due to the shocking amount he spent just on production and filming. Let’s break down just how much Drake spent on his new music video – and all the cash he gave away for free!

The Incredibly Act of Kindness

Drake chronicled his bizarre plan of giving away the project’s whopping $1,000,000 budget to his fans and people in need. Based on the opening credit’s remark “Don’t tell the label,” it seems no one else knew about this generous act but him. The next six minutes of the video showed Drake flashing stacks of cash in his hands. If that wasn’t enough to prove just how rich the singer is, he went even a step further and started giving out the cash to random people on the street. He also spent some of the money on buying toys and gifting them to Miami’s Lotus House and sick children.

As if that wasn’t enough, he also surprised one lucky family with a brand new car! He also provided a scholarship grant to one student in Univesity of Miami to support his education. While some viewers were surprised by his random act of kindness, most of his loyal fans were happy to see their favorite rapper doing a good deed for the people of Miami. The renowned rapper is known for having a big heart. He had even treated one random hotel maid on a shopping spree in the past. He also treated the shoppers in a supermarket once by paying for all of their groceries.

Breaking the Stereotypes

The public lauded Drake for being generous, kind, down to earth, and helpful especially to those who are in need. According to sources, not only his song landed on the top spot due to his good deeds, but the fans admitted it was refreshing to see a music video featuring an act of kindness instead of the usual glitz and glamour.

Some fans speculated Drake started investing in Miami after having a feud with Uncle Luke at 2 Live Crew, who criticized him for not sharing some of his wealth to charities and causes

According to them, most rappers portray Miami as the city for drinking and partying. But Drake broke the stereotype by showing a brighter side of the city by sharing some of his wealth with its citizens. While the video gains not only popularity but also positive feedback from the public, experts say that this isn’t the first time a celebrity gave their music video budget away.

The Concept’s Origin

The idea to give away a music video’s budget by performing random good deeds to people started with Blink 182. The favorite pop-punk band once allocated an astounding $500,000 check and handed the cash out to people walking on the streets of California.

Blink 182 spent half-a-million of their budget to give them out to people as they produced their music video for The Rock Show last 2001.

The group also treated the homeless for a new haircut. While Drake spent all of his cash on the people, the Blink 182 gave away most of their budget in indulging their hobbies and not-so-charitable things.
